We love staying at Double Tap Creek. This was birthday weekend and great time to be in the North Georgia Mountains. There is alit going on in the area with fall around the corner. The furry kids love the creek water and the serenity of being at double tap. We will be back to stay at any of sliding rocks cabins available. They always take care of the guests.

We have stayed at this property about 7 times now. It is just a perfect getaway for the 2 of us. It feels like home. We look forward to coming back every time we leave. We go for small hikes, sun in the river for about 3 hours each day, grill on the firepit and watch for shooting stars from the hot tub. The cabin is always very clean and it was recently updated. We will be back!

Perfect cabin for rest and relaxation

We had a great time and loved tje cabin and location. Everything was as described and the Sliding Rock staff was wonderful to deal with. Will be back.

Everything in the description was spot on. The house was wonderful. Being on the river was amazing. We took our dog and she had the best time ( who knew she would love playing in the river so much). Sitting by the fire with a glass of wine was so relaxing. It was the best anniversary (40th). We would definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was a good size for us and our 3 dogs. It was clean and really had all we needed for our stay. I really loved the fact that our dogs could sit outside with us by the creek. There is plenty of outdoor space to play ball with the dogs and just let them enjoy a walk in the creek.I was concerned when I saw people had commented there was a road on the other side of the creek but really didn't see many cars go by and it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the atmosphere. We did hike the Benton Mackaye trail that is right near the cabin and one other that was only 12 minutes away. Our dogs have good recall so we didn't use the fenced area much but it is sufficient if you need it. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. All and all had a great time and grateful for being able to rent this cabin with our dogs.

This was exactly what we wanted. Quiet, clean, no distractions. Kind of hard to find but that's what you want in a secluded cabin in the woods. Fortunately the directions provided were excellent.

The only improvement I could make would be to screen in the hot-tub. We didn't have time to use it, but if it was screened it might have tempted us more.

Great for a couple, or two couples that are very close.

The cabin is in a beautiful location right beside a large creek. In the yard area just off the screened porch, we were visited morning, noon, and night by anywhere from 2 to 7 deer feeding in this "field". We enjoyed having meals and drinking morning coffee sitting on the porch watching these deer. The cabin is a little smaller than expected. Downstairs is 2 bed 1 bath, but for us on a 2 person four day weekend getaway it was fine. It is very pet friendly. The deck has gates to close it off and keep the doggies close by. We could open the screened doors and they could circle around and be able to go into the enclosed fenced area as well. All in all we were very satisfied. Be aware, the road leading to the cabin is bumpy and narrow in most sections.

Me, my fiance and our dogs came to this cabin for our anniversary. It is a beautiful cozy cabin with a beautiful creek in the back yard. We enjoyed ourselves and all of the amenities which worked and didn’t have any issue. Definitely will stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Creekside Manor! The cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed all of the different cozy spaces to relax and read and listen to the creek - from the 2 different couch areas to the sunroom, back deck, and fire pit area. All lovely! We are particularly appreciative of the pet friendly touches that made us feel our dogs were welcome and not merely "allowed" to stay there with us. It was a wonderful, peaceful long weekend of hiking and relaxing - thank you!

We wanted a private cabin. You know, usually you will have close neighbors. Not with this one. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The a/c was great! We made sure to bring everything we thought we may need because we didn't want to leave once there. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We did have a storm or 2 while there but no interruptions. The walk down to the creek is as advertised. It is very steep in spots; however, there's a rope along the trail to help from sliding down. I didn't find the hammock there though only the fire ring and the chairs to enjoy. The hosts were attentive and informative. The king bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The couch on the back screened porch is not for marathon reading. I doubled the pads to help my old hips. The rocking chairs on the back deck were comfortable. My mini schnauzer had a ball running up and down the trail. We recommend this cabin and the hosts. We look forward to future visits.

This was a wonderful experience for us. We are always looking for a place that has everything you need in one spot. This cabin checks all the boxes. It looks like everything was thought of. We brought our three dogs, two medium size & one small. This was one of the most dog friendly places I have experienced. Make sure you read all of the instructions they send you prior to your trip. We planned for everything but so did Sliding Rock Cabins. This company was excellent! During our trip they stayed in communication with us and were available to answer any questions we had via text message. I would highly recommend this company if you want a great cabin experience and you enjoy the mountains. I couldn’t think of anything that would have made this trip better.

To start with, my wife said it was love at first sight. The rustic cabin was perfectly located 30 minutes away from it all, on a small babbling brook (as described online). And it was, I had trouble setting on the back porch swing trying to stay awake. It really was the perfect week getaway, on two different days we never even left the cabin. I will say though, that a 4-wheel drive pickup was nice to have getting there.
Now I need to check and see if returning guests can get returning discount.

We stayed during Labor day weekend and are already planning our return trip. The cabin was clean and comfortable. So many thoughtful touches such as dog toys and treats were really appreciated.

This is a great cabin with excellent amenities. We really appreciated the high quality linens, pillows, and towels. Everything was clean, and it was close to everything we needed. Out dogs loved having access to the fenced porch and yard. Highly recommend.

Great cabin, our friends talked about how usually they cant wait to get home from vacation, but they didn't want this one to end. From the wildlife, to the fire pit we had a blast.

Last minute booking went seamless, and our expectations were exceeded! Everything was super clean, cozy, and comfortable. The sound of the river was so relaxing, we spent so much time on the porch and by the river. Our dogs were in heaven!! The hot tub was amazing,everything was just perfect. The ONLY drawback was the long staircase from the house to the river, but overall it was worth it- definitely recommend!!

Creekside Manner exceeded our expectations for what a carefree vacation in the mountains should be. The location and setting were superb. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and perfect in every way imaginable. We spent one week of stress free relaxation alongside a picturesque creek.

I was in desperate need of a vacation and to unplug. Trout Haven exceeded all expectations! The house is beautiful, the kitchen so well equipped. I spent hours on the screened in porch with my two golden retriever’s. The yard is great for throwing ball, the fenced in are is large and so convenient, but the was fabulous!!! There were two sets of steps to the creek and the water was perfect!! There were very calm spots for my more senior golden to play ball, but also great moving water that allowed my younger golden so fetch the ball and swim like a little fish. It was so quiet and the neighbors are far enough away, that you really don’t notice anyone is nearby.

The thought and care the owners and Sliding Rock have put onto Trout Haven was second to none! We will back during the Christmas holidays and I am counting the days already!

I have been staying at Sliding Rock properties for over 20 years and have never been disappointed!

The cabin was everything they described and then some. Very peaceful. Dogs loved the water and so did the kids. The hot tub was a hit with everyone. Especially liked that Wal-Mart delivered to the cabin. Truly a great vacation and will use sliding rock again.

Having rented a different cabin on that mountain before, we knew how tricky the drive could be in the dark and during rainstorms so we shopped for groceries at Ingle’s before checking in. This cabin, our 9th, turned out to be the most well-appointed one we have rented. The owners very generously supplied all of the kitchen equipment you could need. I never needed to use the knives and saute pan that I always bring with us. The only problem for us and our smaller dogs were the high beds though they were very comfortable. If you want peace and quiet, this is one of the nicer places to get that. We enjoyed pizza from Cucinella’s in Blue Ridge and stocking up on our favorite beef and Berkshire pork at Mountain Valley Farm. Did I mention how beautiful and roomy the kitchen is?

Great! Cleanest place we've ever stayed! Bit tough driving up and parking a 3500 pickup truck, but not impossible.

My husband and I wanted to de-stress and getaway for our anniversary. Creekside Manner provided the perfect spot to do just that. The moment we stepped from the car we knew we made the right choice! We could hear the creek flowing behind the cabin and the general quiet of the area was immensely peaceful. The cabin is beautiful and well-appointed with everything you may want for a vacation but with the feeling of home. There are books and games for those that wish for a little something to do. Everyday we made the choice to listen to the creek and just relax. This property is out in the forest and we arrived after dark but the directions provided were spot on. The entire property was clean, and nicely appointed for our needs. Downtown Ellijay is very charming. The Sliding Rock company stayed in touch via texts and we appreciated the attention to our comfort. No wifi or phone service outside of the cabin or once you are off the main road, so heads up on that. There are towels and treats for the dogs were an added bonus and much appreciated!) We didn't want to leave and are definitely looking forward to our next visit with SRC!!

Had a real great time. One of the best vacation ever, back next year.

Our third stay in Ellijay/Blue Ridge mountains with Sliding Rock Cabins company. They are very professional and helpful. The view from the Heavenly View Lodge porch is outstanding. The property was clean and well maintained with nice amenities (hot tub, ping-pong, foosball, grill). The kitchen was a bit small for five guests. The fenced dog area is steep. A black bear was seen each day, close to the property. Although 4-wheel drive is a very good recommendation, it is possible, but a bit more challenging with a 2-wheel drive vehicle.

The cabin was as pictured, the river behind cabin is closer than appears in pictures which was fabulous because it was amazing. We went to all the falls and hot spots, now we are ready to just stay in the cabin and enjoy the river! The drive in movie was great, all of the falls were stunning, shopping was nice, Cheteau Meichtry winery ground and service was amazing! I also recommend Grace restaurant for really nice dining. Only complaint is I can’t get back there fast enough! xoxo

As always, we love staying at Forever Friday and ALL of the cabins with Sliding Rock! We were not able to get into the river due to rain causing a stronger current and murky water. We still had a great time walking, grilling and playing games. Sliding Rocks is the best dog friendly place to stay! The cabins are always clean and the staff are always kind and helpful!

The ambiance was all that I hoped for: peaceful and restful. The deck right next to the river was the perfect place to read, listen to the water, and sip on a cup of coffee. My second favorite place was the bedroom with a huge tv and a separate sunroom with a great view of the water and a separate door opening onto the deck right next to the hot tub. The size is great for one or two people, and my dogs and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The cabin is pet friendly with bowls and towels for the fur baby and a fenced yard off the deck--great for letting the three of my fur babies out all at once. (I walk them separately on a leash.) Communication with the rental management was great. I left for home rested and with good memories.

Although it rained everyday, we still enjoyed our three day stay in the mountains. The road getting to the cabin was a bit rough. The heavy rains played a big part in road condition. The cabin was just as described, plenty of room to move around and perfect for four people.

Great Cabin! Super close to Ellijay! Cabin is extremely well maintained, as are all the Sliding Rock Cabins! Dog Yard is very convenient and large! This may be the quietest cabin we have ever stayed in! Our dogs loved playing in the creek! If you leave cabin and turn right on Ray Mtn rd Cartecay River Pizza is 5 minutes away -Great Wood Fired Pizza - and HUGE.

Our experience with Creekside Serenity was so peaceful. The cabin is very comfortable and welcoming. Everything was clean and comfortable. The bed is great!!

We booked a last-minute getaway at Cherokee Shoals Cabin for some trout fishing along the river, and it exceeded all our expectations. The reservation process was seamless, with clear, detailed directions provided promptly, making it easy to find the cabin.

Upon arrival, we were thrilled with the location—right on the river’s edge. Sitting in the rockers on the porch, listening to the water rush by, was pure bliss. The steps leading directly into the river made fishing incredibly convenient. Though neighboring cabins are nearby, they’re spaced far enough to ensure privacy.

The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped. Our group of four, plus two dogs, had plenty of space without feeling cramped. The owners thought of everything for our furry friends, providing sheets to cover furniture, bowls, towels, and even a dog bed. Cooking on the gas grill and dining on the screened-in porch was a highlight, as was relaxing in the hot tub after a day of fishing. We also loved gathering around the fire pit for s’mores and playing pool in the upstairs game room.

Cherokee Shoals Cabin was the perfect retreat, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for a relaxing, riverfront getaway!

My two adult children and I haven’t vacationed together in far too many years. With four dogs between us and hectic work schedules, there was always an excuse. We finally planned this escape and I was fearful. To our surprise, the cabin was absolutely perfect! Our dogs loved it as much as we did. In fact, we booked a full week in November in the same cabin. Thanks to Julie and Tara for helping create the perfect place for such amazing memories!

Very pleasant and restful stay

The house was beautiful, clean and well stocked. They even had treats and bowls for my dogs. There were tons of floats and paddle boards for the water, which made for an amazing day. We rented a boat from boundary Waters Marina and kept it at the private dock.

This was a perfect getaway for us- 2 couples, 2 grown children, and 2 dogs. The draw was being right on the river, being able to take dogs, and having privacy. Besides being in the river -the pool table, hot tub, screened porch, deck and fire pit were where we spent all of our time - we only went out for one meal and a round of golf. The cabin had all the essentials you would expect. The property was gated so the dogs had space to roam. From the main road turnoff to the cabin be prepared for steep, gravel, winding narrow roads.

It has been a decade since my two adult kids and I have been able to go on vacation together...especially as we have four dogs total! We stayed 3 nights and no one wanted to leave. In fact, we scheduled an entire week at the same cabin for this fall. Perfect. Amazing. Relaxing. Cozy. Julie and Tara were great when booking both trips! We ate out for lunch one day and cooked or brought back take-out every other meal, because the cabin was so enjoyable. My son travels for his job and insists that these 3 nights were the best sleep he has had in years! Our pups enjoyed swimming in the river and hanging out with us on the deck or at the firepit. Did I mention the deer and the fireflies? I am counting down the days until our next trip to the cabin in 3 months!

Holly Hollow was a great weekend getaway! I have stayed in many Sliding Rock cabins over the years and none of them have been any better than this little jewel. So comfortable and well-appointed and extremely clean.

Loved being by the water and that it is truly a dog-friendly location. A must for us. Loved the fenced in yard, worry-free. The location is ideal - a few steps added to get into the water would have been perfect - for those of us who lack 100% balance. But, definitely not an issue.

My wife and I have been loyal annual and at time semi-annual customers of Sliding Rock for a number of years. We keep coming back because of the quality of their managed properties and their service. In doing so, we often move around. This summer we elected the river and Water's Edge. Were I asked to describe this particular property I would have to choose EXCEPTIONAL, SUPERIOR, AWESOME, though none alone would give it proper credit. The house is clean, spacious, well-stocked, very comfortable with like new, quality appliances. Recent renovations were the "icing on the cake." And the locale - on the river adjacent to some beautiful, relaxing rapids. Being at the very end of the road, there was zero traffic and even with other nearby cabins, privacy was not an issue. Will we return? YES!!! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a "top-tier" getaway.

Just what the doctor ordered! Wonderful to unplug from screens, relax and get fresh air. The river view and sounds were so soothing. We will be back!!

We had a great time! The deck to the river was the highlight of our stay. Had so much fun playing swimming, tubing, fishing in the river. Great fit for our family of seniors, kids, adults and dog. The location is fabulous. Every thing was within 30 minutes that we wanted to do. The office was very responsive to any requests. The hot tub was beautiful along side the river and majestic trees

The view was beautiful as was the cabin. A wonderful escape and perfect for our two dogs and family.

Beautiful surroundings. Nice privacy at the end of the road. The stream was about waist-deep, so it was good for floating/swimming. We had fun playing pool and Pac-man in the game rooms.

My family and I spend five days here and loved every minute. It was so relaxing and the cabin was amazing. We got a lot of down and relaxing time something we truly needed. I would recommend this cabin to anyone needing a relaxing get away. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need but food.

We stayed in the house for a week and we really enjoyed it. The property was well maintained. We had to call the manager the first night because we could not find the key. The person was very helpful. The house was very pet friendly. We will be back. I highly suggest to follow the directions provided. The gps was not helpful.

This is my second time staying at Cozy Bear cabin this year and just love it. And, the small fenced in space is a great addition.
