Perfect Cabin for Quiet Getaway

Nativa cabin was exactly what we needed. Getting up the mountain was tricky, but once we got there, it was well worth it! Cabin was exactly as described. Quiet and cozy.

Delightful, but a challenge to get to

This is a spacious cabin with expansive views of the mountains. We have stayed at Sliding Rock properties before and always enjoyed them. This cabin is nestled high up on a ridge, which is both its charm and its downside. Be aware that it is a very difficult drive on steep, twisty dirt roads before you reach your destination. A jeep or 4WD is recommended, and don't attempt it at night unless you know your way. We had planned to do some day outings, but chose to stay put for our 3-day visit. Fortunately we had all the provisions we needed. That being said, it was a very relaxing, peaceful place for reading, nature-watching, lounging in the hot tub, and cooking on the

Great Vacation Spot

We pretty much stayed in at the cabin for the week enjoying the views and the hot tub since it was pretty chilly for April. The cabin book had handwritten instructions to a small waterfall about 2-3 miles away, we hiked it with the dogs- it's lovely! Would highly recommend this spot for a mountain vacation with pups! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed, plus some extra treats and toys for the pups.

Great stay...but will plan better next time.

No complaints about the cabin. It was very clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, and GREAT if you are traveling with dogs! The surprise came at how far the cabin was up in the mountains. It was beautiful and scenic and private.....but once you get there, you need to plan to stay there and not go back into the nearby towns. We had planned to come and go. Go in and have breakfast, come back to the cabin to check on the dogs, go back out for shopping, come back to the cabin to rest and get ready, go back out for dinner, etc. If that is what you are looking for, this is not the place for you. I definitely want to go back to this cabin, no question about it.....but i will be prepared with enough food and supplies for the length of the stay. And again......super if you are traveling with pets. You have a fenced in yard area and the deck is also closed so that they can not get away.
