Song of the South Vacay

We enjoyed everything about this cabin except how dark it was inside, even with the lights on. It would be a really great cabin with some better lighting and a few skylights in the living room/kitchen area. Other than that we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely rent another cabin from Sliding Rock again.

Anniversary trip

We loved our stay at Song of the South cabin. The cabin was just like the pics In the advertisement. It was very clean. We enjoyed the screened porch for our meals, listening to the sound of the water flowing over the rocks. We built a fire in the firepit ever evening roasting marshmallows! The hot tub was great and clean . It was great to have a place for our dog to have a fenced area. We also really liked having sliding glass doors to open and listen to the creek. Would recommend this cabin for a great relaxing vacation!!!!

Super amazing anniversary stay

We, absolutely loved Song of the South! It’s at the end of the road , so there is more privacy than most of the other cabins on the water. The creek was so beautiful. We had stayed in another cabin last year & loved it, but this one suited our needs better. We will be going back next year for our 30 yr anniversary!! On a side note, the dog yard is on a bit of a slope. My young dogs were fine, but I had one that had to be taken down to the bottom. No big deal, just FYI. And, we had a problem with the hot tub & management came right away. I’ve alteady recommended these cabins to several people!!

Wonderful Weekend Away

Our family had a lovely weekend away at Song of the South. It was the perfect size home for us and our 2 boys and 2 dogs. The creek was fantastic and we played in it all weekend. We loved having the fire pit right there by the creek to sit around, too! We wish the deck and patio was swept off before our stay but that was a minor detail and did not ruin anything. Great time overall!

Wonderful Visit and Cabin!

The minute we walked in our cabin we knew we had found the right place! It was perfect in every way for my husband and I and our Lab, Maggie Grace. We loved the screened in porch and ate dinner there every evening and rocked in the rocking chairs all afternoon. The creek is beautiful and we loved listening to it especially at night with the sliding doors open. My husband enjoyed the hammock! Everything was thought of at this cabin!!! Bed was comfortable and every amenity was available. The location is perfect. Probably 10 minutes or less from Ellijay and about 30 minutes from Blue Ridge. Also very close to Amicalola (sp?) falls. There is a fenced area that your pup can access from the deck if needed. The hottub was amazing! Again, everything was thought of.

The perfect cabin to get away from it all!

Song of the South cabin was clean and inviting from the moment we pulled up. Beautiful and secluded it was perfect for my wife and I and our 3 German Shepherds. The deck and hot tub attached to the fenced yard was the best setup we have ever had! The dogs enjoyed playing in the river every day! If you are looking for relaxing peace and quiet, this is it!

Great Cabin

Comfortable cabin and beautiful view. The kids loved the fishing and visits from the neighbor dogs, and we all enjoyed the firepit. We would like to come back in the future for a longer stay.
