Stayed October 22nd thru the week. We saw deer almost every day and river otters. Had a bear come by twice that week! My wife and I had a hard time leaving the back porch to leave and go do something for the day. We have stayed at many cabins through the years, small but worth it. Only problem we had after a rain storm halfway thru the week the toilet would not flush properly. They did thier best to fix it but it was still not resolved by the time we checked out. They did comp us one night. Lovely cabin for peace and quiet.

We just wanted to say a perfect getaway. We have been to two other cabins in Ellijay and Helen Ga, but by far this was the best cabin we have stayed at. We plan on making another trip here. The river by the screen porch was such a soothing sound, we spent most our time on the porch. I have heard it is dark in the cabin, but it's because you are surrounded by tall trees. For us that was minor. We enjoyed all the apple orchards and the apple cider beer tasting right down the road. We went to the swinging bridge and the road is a little rough but you can drive it slowly. Everything you need for the kitchen was there just bring spices. We took our 2015 roadking in our ironhorse trailer which is light enough to move around, but if you take a 5 x 8 that would be a challenge. All and all we had a wonderful time the week we were there. Thank you.

    Beautiful and Tranquil

If you are looking for a spot to get away from all the hubbub of the city this is an amazing location to experience nature and peace. We enjoyed the creek everyday and our pup thought he was in heaven. Cute cabin although the lighting needs to be much brighter. Just some stronger wattage lightbulbs would do the trick. We did all our own cooking and the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. The first morning we found the toaster didn’t work but we went to town to get groceries and management told us to by a new one and reimbursed us immediately. If you are a nature lover this is a great spot. We went whitewater tubing, hiking at the state parks. There are apple houses and orchards everywhere and great hard cider. The locals where friendly. It was the best of both worlds for us. Enough close outdoor fun experience and then private relaxing time at the cabin playing games, puzzles sitting by the creek night time fire pit and the hot tub of course. Our one disappointment was we were looking forward to laying in the hammock by the creek to read but it was completely covered in wet green mold. It needs to be stored out of the elements when not in use. Anyway we would definitely go back and have already recommended it to our family and friends. We stayed a week to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and have to say it was our favorite vacation in all our years together. Great romantic peaceful outdoor spot!!!

Cabin was clean and inviting to a point. Being on the end of a road was good and relaxing. Cabin being covered by trees made it dark on the interior and needs better lighting. Even though the cabin is small the front porch is not wide enough for sitting and stretching out. The bathtub is an accident waiting to happen. Tub floor is slick and needs an anti-slip mat added for the safety for older renters. The outside of the cabin has some wood rot that needs addressing on both the decking and roof framing.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed the stay and will probably be back at some point.
