Very relaxing stay at Forever Friday. The dogs loved the big lot by the river to run around.Great place to recharge. And we watched the Georgia Bulldogs win the national championship! Thanks SRC for continuing to provide quality pet friendly mountain getaways. Cheers

    Almost Paradise

We took our children and their significants and our grand daughter. We had a great time!! Our dogs were in heaven. Kids took in the town, hiked to the falls an enjoyed all of the many amenities. It was sad our time went by so fast. But, they want to come back in the fall. This place is awesome for pets to allow for much freedom. This cabin is huge, the property is huge and very private!!! My issue was the steps outside and inside need a strip to prevent slips. We had 2 very bad falls one bruising the backside and hitting head. Steps are narrow, dark and steep. My only other comment would be that pet owners are careful securing their pets if they leave unattended. The door knob has been chewed up and dented and this is such a beautiful home. Final comments: when families stay for over a week more than 1 of each paper products would be kind. There are also 4 doors in the house that are difficult to open and close to lock up. The main fireplace can’t be use because the smoke fills the main living room. This has been an issue from the black on outside of fireplace.

    had a great time

cabin was awesome we had a great time. loved the location .cabin does need some attention to some small details that probably get over looked on a few things. most of the riverside deck lighting the lights were out so nite life on the deck was dark.down stairs bathroom shower plumbing tub would not hold water for a toddler bath or when shower was used water came out both top and bottom faucets so shower was not strong.also fire place was great but needs a chimney sweep done even with the vent fully open cabin still got smokey inside.Hot tub was also a great relaxer but many jets did not work properly so only low bubbles. I'am just nit picking so the property mgrs know what needs attention. Our family still loved it and would go back again next year for sure ,we just expect everything to work properly for the cost.

    Delightful private getaway

I've stayed in at least half a dozen different Sliding Rock cabins, and this one was by far my favorite. Even though it's really too big for just the two of us, this would be definitely be my choice for a return visit. The decor was classic, modern & understated, yet still cozy and comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchens were beautifully designed and convenient, even the appliances (stove, washer/dryer) were top notch. We didin't play any games, but did enjoy some of the books that were provided. I loved that the light switches were all labeled, so I didn't have to blindly flip things on and off until I figured things out on my own. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy that this cabin afforded as well - you could still see other cabins through the trees, but didn't feel like we had close neighbors. The weather had just started to turn, so we were able to enjoy firelogs (more for ambiance than heat) yet still open the doors and enjoy the fresh air, and most days I spent nearly all my time in the hot tub or on the screened porch enjoying a book. We didn't do much cooking, but found that the kitchen had everything that we needed.
Only two areas for improvement: the hot tub got cloudy during our 4 day stay. The check-in materials referenced some additive that should be put in the hot tub every evening, but we couldn't find it anywhere in the cabin. (I think it was supposed to have been on the kitchen counter?) We kept the cover on when were weren't in it, and I even skimmed leaves every day, but by the last day of our trip it still looked like gross, dirty bath water. And lastly, be VERY careful on the stairs. I am not an older person nor am I prone to falls, however I fell twice coming down from the upstairs bedrooms, though luckily escaped with only a few bruises; I was extremely careful going down the stairs to access the hot tub for the rest of the trip. The stairwells felt very narrow to me, and there is only a handrail on one side.
