This cabin is amazing! It's close enough to town, yet far enough in the woods to be quiet and peaceful. We loved the layout of the cabin, with three master suites! The porch and yard are perfect for people and dogs. Our pups loved the trail down to the river because they knew they were going to go swimming! Everything about this cabin is so well designed and maintained. We had two beautiful deer greet us as we drove up the driveway the day of our arrival. The cabin is stocked with all of the necessities to make guests comfortable and even had a wide assortment of games and bestselling books. It's really so beautiful, and we look forward to visiting again!
This was our second stay with sliding rock and both trips were great. Holly Hollow is a very spacious, clean, comfortable cabin. We were surprised with the spaciousness. The decks and firepit spaces are well maintained with lots of room. The fenced pet area is a little small for big dogs but perfect for littles. The drive to the cabin is paved and relatively easy and the location was perfect for day trips into Blue Ridge and Ellijay.
The owners do a great job of making their guest feel welcome! So many extra nice touches they leave for you. The cabin was so clean! A lot of thought was gone into the decor of the cabin. Staff at Sliding Rock so nice and the communication is awesome!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No Place Like Doe. The cabin had everything we needed, including a coffee maker, dishes, laundry access, plenty of pillows, and thoughtful amenities for our fur-baby, such as toys, a bed, and food bowls. It was beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, and situated in a peaceful location. The listing description and photos were very accurate, although the photos truly do not do this place justice. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for, and honestly, the only downside was that we didn't want to leave!

We had a wonderful time! We simply unplugged and relaxed. My husband fished and caught/released several fish. He was very happy. I enjoyed the hot tub and quiet. We were visited daily by several deer, squirrels and birds. We did not see a bear. We are already planning our next visit. The cabin was extremely well kept. We were overwhelmed by the number of convenient details left for our use. From the amount of dog supplies to the chemicals to add to the hot tube to ensure it stayed fresh and clean. We highly recommend this cabin and company!
We cannot say enough about this cabin. It is cozy and incredibly maintained. This will be the cabin. We will rent from here on out when we want to get away to the North Georgia mountains. The view was amazing with the river sounds in the background. The town is quaint, easily accessible and very friendly. If you want to venture out from Ellijay, we highly recommend Blue Ridge. We took the scenic railway and it was amazing. The rental agency is top-notch and as I said these cabins are on repeat for any future stays.
This cozy cabin was just the right amount of peace and quiet that we were looking for! The location is perfectly away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to it not to feel isolated. While we loved the cabin, the creek was totally the jewel. We absolutely will return!

We enjoyed a 5-night stay at River’s Reach with our pup. It was quiet and so much cooler than at home. We saw a bobcat sitting on a large rock in the river!
My wife and I spent our anniversary this past weekend and the cabin/area did not disappoint! In fact, every expectation and wish regarding our plans was exceeded and would definitely recommend this cabin and area. Best weekend in a very long time!!!! Thanks for making our anniversary special!
Clean, cozy cabin with a breathtaking view from the back porch. Enjoyed morning coffee and late night evenings on the swing while taking in the serene Mountain view. If you enjoy wild life as we do, then this is a great location as we got to see bear, deer and foxes. The cabin is comfortable for a family of 4. Loved that we could bring our dogs with us to enjoy this wonderful getaway.
We recently stayed for 7 days and had a wonderful time. The location is perfectly located right outside of ellijay. We traveled with our pets who absolutely loved the property especially going down to the creek daily. This is the 4th cabin we have stayed in with Sliding Rock Cabins and 6th stay altogether and as always it did not disappoint...We will definitely be back! The beds were super comfortable, the cabin was super clean, the location was great. A 4x4 vehicle is not needed to get to this cabin although the initial turn up the short driveway is a little steep I felt we would have no issues taking my wife's car up it had we not been in my truck...all in all a great place to stay and would love to enjoy this cabin in cold weather.
Beautiful cabin with great view. The highlight was the fenced in yard and amenities for the dogs we all brought. By far the most pet-friendly cabin we had ever stayed at.
Our multi-generational family booked Trout Haven for a 2 week vacation. We have stayed at other Sliding Rock properties in the Ellijay area in the past and always find the properties to be perfect and the staff to be so helpful. Tara was so helpful with booking the next door cabin at the last minute for my daughter's family.
Trout Haven lived up to its name for the avid fisherpeople in our family. They really enjoyed fishing in the creek. I enjoyed how easy it was to get to the creek and into the water. Everyone enjoyed playing in the creek. We were able to tube down the rapids in front of the cabin too. Our favorite parts of the house were the large screened in porch and the outside pavilion. We spent most of our time in these areas enjoying listening and watching the rapids on the creek. The grill was in tiptop shape. We enjoyed many fires in the outdoor fireplace and firepit. The inside of the cabin was spacious and furnished and decorated nicely. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed herself as well.
We visited Brasstown Bald, Amicalola State Park for views and waterfalls. Enjoyed gem mining and the mushroom farm. We loved the Ellijay Fire Pizza and Tococca River restaurants. On Saturday, we went to the Ellijay farmer market. We did wine tastings at Ott's and Buckley's with fantastic views. Also, we enjoyed Reese's cider tastings and fresh peaches.
As you can tell, we thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, the creek and the area. Looking forward to next year.
This house is top notch, from the nice linens to the fully stocked kitchen. The backyard is great for dogs and the location is in the mountains but still convenient for a lunch or a walk in Ellijay. The wraparound porch is amazing. We’ll be back in cooler weather to give the firepit and hot tub a try!
Everything was as stated. I'm a 62-year old grandfather rising two young grand kids and I worried about having them a week by myself in the mountains, it turned out to be the best vacation I have ever had. It's so quiet and peaceful. I had read concerns about the roads leading to the cabin, they were very easy to drive, even after a rain storm. you can't drive 50-miles an hour, it's a mountain road. Love seeing the deer everyday. We seen 3-bears, 69-deer and 6-wild turkey. Cabin was good everything worked as stated. Yard and the river made it a joy to come home to for a week. Lot of things to do. We got on the internet and found many more thing to see than we could in a week. Will be going back.
We enjoyed our time in Ellijay. We will be back. The road up is quite steep so a truck (which we had) would be more than ideal. There were 92 steps so the very young and old may find it challenging. Beautiful views, enjoyed the hot tub, coffee on the porch, cute shops and some nice restaurants.
Autumn's Hollow was the perfect cabin for our family! The decor was adorable, the cabin was well stocked with everything we needed, and it was so clean and comfortable. We especially loved spending our evenings relaxing by the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. It was a wonderful getaway, and we would definitely stay here again!
We are the Pierce Family. We rented Forever Friday at Sliding Rock mainly for their dog policy and for welcoming large breeds...our four babies. On arrival, we did not expect the perfect cabin for us and the perfect Ellijay river to swim and float in! We found family fun in one perfect place!! Tara was the perfect contact/host. We had so much fun and wished we could have stayed longer. Our longest excursion was under 2 hours away, but we couldn’t wait to get back to just hang out. Thank you Sliding Rock! We will be back soon!
The location couldn’t have been better. Secluded enough to be peaceful, but still close to orchards and hiking trails. My friend and I were very happy with the condition of the cabin and the layout is perfect for friends to share a space for a few days. We appreciated the air conditioning as we went during the heat wave. The creek was the best part because it was easy to dip our feet in and the sound of water over the rocks was so relaxing. The cabin was very clean and taken care of. I know some people mentioned how dark it is inside, but you have to understand that this is in the woods with very tall trees and so there isn’t direct, blaring light through the windows like at a beach house. But there were plenty of lights to turn on and the vibe is perfect. We will be back for another stay!
Sliding rock cabins never disappoints. Our stay at Water's Edge cabin was pleasant, peaceful, restful and such a delight.A great getaway location.
Great little spot with a relaxing deck area on the creek. Peaceful sitting out there each day. Enjoyed the cabin and the only issue I had is the bedroom doesn’t have the AC vents near where you sleep so it did feel a lot warmer than the rest of the cabin. Glad I brought a small fan with me to help cool the room down.
Our 4th stay at RD and gets better each time. Really love all the improvements/upgrades to the property. Has everything you need, getting in the river each day was a blast. Dogs loved it and the yard. Sliding Rock staff are the nicest and easy to work with.
R & R River Retreat was a wonderful cabin in a delightful neighborhood in the mountains. We loved the sounds from the river below and the sightings of deer. Our only complaint was the saggy living room furniture that just doesn't do well for "old people". However, we enjoyed sitting out on the back screened porch playing games at the table while our dog enjoyed walking around the to deck levels surveying "his" territory. We love Sliding Rock cabins and recommend them to anyone who listens.

If you are seeking a quiet, private retreat with an awesome panoramic view of distant mountain peaks, then Sounds of Silence should be considered. The cabin was clean, very comfortable and well-stocked. Our pups were able to access a fenced in yard by the use of a pet dood and series of gates that that could be opened and allowing them to move about securely. My wife and I have vacationed once or twice a year using Sliding Rock Cabins as a source of access to many quality cabins in the greater Ellijay-Blue Ridge area, and this is one of their best mountain top cabins. Too, their customer service is A+. We have already booked a return later this year, which should say it all.
Booked this cabin for a weekend girls getaway and we could not have been happier. The cabin is perfectly situated, beautifully appointed, and the fact that my dog could join in the fun made it a perfect weekend. Ellijay is such a lovely setting and I (and my dog) will most definitely be back!
My wife and I, and our two insanely spoiled dogs, just completed a weeklong stay at Sounds of Silence. To say it was enjoyable would be an understatement. Awesome is more the operative word that comes to mind in so many ways. We had a very peaceful and relaxing week in this well-appointed cabin for which we are grateful. In fact, earlier this year, we had made October reservations at another property and once being here a few days changed the reservation to Sounds of Silence. We have used Sliding Rock Cabins as a rental company for 12 plus years having found them to be one we would want as our agent had we rental property in “the mountains.” We look forward to being back in October.
I thoroughly enjoyed my few days, as did my three dogs. The cabin was clean and very inviting, and I loved the kitchen nook overlooking the river as well as the porch, both of where I spent time enjoying the scenery. The drive from White Path Road was almost a straight shot; I had no trouble finding it. I am thankful for the time there and plan on returning!
We have stayed with Sliding Rock many times but I would say this is one of our favorite cabins... located the same distance to Ellijay or Blue Ridge.. Paved roads were a plus for sure since we brought the car up.. Saw several deer almost everyday!! Cabin was perfect for one or two couples... it was just us but plenty of room for another couple!!
We had a wonderful trip and truly enjoyed the area. It was exactly the kind of getaway I was hoping for: peaceful, quiet, and a chance to do absolutely nothing. We disconnected from our devices and just enjoyed being surrounded by nature.
The cabin was very clean, the Wi-Fi worked well when needed, and the on-site washer and dryer were very convenient. It was also pet-friendly, which made the stay even better for us. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely recommend it.
The Cabin was very nice and a peaceful place. We had a great time.
My only suggestion would be to install taller toilets. The toilets are very low to the ground and hard to get up for older people.
The drive to the cabin was great. We saw plenty of wildlife driving to the cabin. The cabin was clean and more than we expected.
We have been booking through Sliding Rock for years now and have always had a good experience. This was our first time at Song of the South and we loved the little creek and the remote location. The fenced area for the dogs isn't as large as some of the other cabins, so if you need a huge fenced area try a different cabin, but the fire pit by the creek is great! The power went out Saturday and I had to call the after hours number for the first time and they answered and kept me updated. We will be definitely continue to book with Sliding Rock Cabins!
This was one of the most relaxing vacations ever. The sound of the rapids removed all the stress, better than a massage. The only reason the location did not get a 5 is the fact there is a cabin right next door and the privacy fence only goes so far and there is very limited privacy when you are in the fenced yard.
This cabin was amazing. It had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. I loved the fenced in areas for the pups and that the screened in porch could be locked so they could sit on the porch with us. The cabin was nice and inviting we did not want to leave. The welcome gift was very thoughtful. I would give our stay 10/10 stars! Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.
This was our dogs vacation, we were just the people he invited. Seriously, travel with our furry family member was never more enjoyable or easy. Sliding Rock Cabins are amazing and this property could not have been more perfect. Our pup and typically phone attached children were in the creek within 5 minutes of arrival. The rocking chairs on the main porch were perfect for morning coffee with the grandparents. This house was perfect for our family of 8. If you are looking for an amazingly private sanctuary that is also a stones throw from everything you need this home is your place. And if you have a pup....I wouldn't want to rent from anyone else then Sliding Rock! We are so grateful for our time in this beautiful spot.
Good river view. The river is deep enough to swim in if you can brave the steep bank and submerged boulders. A relatively secluded cabin; no one was in the three other cabins on the short road. We took many walks on the roads without seeing anyone except deer and geese. The pillows upstairs were too thick so bring your own unless your neck is as long as a giraffe's. Drive in is fine except the last 100 yards, which is steep and starting to wash away. Very comfortable cabin, no other complaints.
We had such a great time at this cabin, it was beautiful! This was our second time with sliding rock cabins and there will be many more!

Sounds of Silence Cabin provided an excellent experience of the peace and solitude we were looking for in such a busy time of our lives. Whether it was rainy or sunny there was plenty to do. The cabin was clean, the games were fun and the tub was in excellent order. We would highly recommend this getaway place.
The cabin's location is absolutely amazing!!! Right on the creek. You can sleep to the sound of the water at night. Great size for a couple to spend a weekend. We felt so away from everything and everyone. There is a fenced area for the pups but it is on a very steep incline. Only issue we had was our littlest dog getting out from under the gate. We will absolutely be visiting this spot again!

We are about to leave this wonderful cabin after a 10 day stay. We absolutely love it and have just booked our next stay for September. We enjoyed our stay last year but it had 2 stories and we are all getting older so staying at this cabin on a single level is much easier on the bones. The deer walk up in the back yard and just stare at us like they are trained pets and not wild animals. Nice to see them comfortable with strangers.
We loved our stay for 2 weeks last October/November. We re-booked for this year as soon as we were able. The Cabin is just Adorable and the Dogs absolutely loved the enclosed yard to run around in. Everything you need is there and they truly thought of everything. Bonus, 2 deer visited the yard every morning and at dusk, we even had a flock of Turkeys stroll down the road! Our new "go to" vacation spot.
This cabin was so much fun and relaxing. It really does have everything you need except for food and your clothes. We saw deer every day. Our 4 dogs loved seeing the wildlife. The Sliding Rocks company was so easy to work with very attentive to our needs. Loved this cabin!
Great getaway just a couple hours from Atlanta. Love how dog friendly the cabin was, from small touches like food and water bowls to multiple fenced in areas to keep them safe.
The cabin was exactly as described and perfect for our stay with our two dogs. Easy to find, lovely and cosy with enough facilities nearby. Nice to find a truly dog friendly cabin.
Cozy Bear cabin was really easy to get in and out of. All 3 of us enjoyed the multiple people daily visits from the deer population, they would walk up and look at us like they wanted to know about us. The cabin was very clean and inviting. It felt like a home without the expense of ownership. We enjoyed it so much that before we left we had already booked our next stay in September. Both dogs absolutely loved the location as well since it was nearly at the end of the road, there were only a couple vehicles that passed by the whole time. We definitely will be returning more than just the next scheduled visit.
