We are about to leave this wonderful cabin after a 10 day stay. We absolutely love it and have just booked our next stay for September. We enjoyed our stay last year but it had 2 stories and we are all getting older so staying at this cabin on a single level is much easier on the bones. The deer walk up in the back yard and just stare at us like they are trained pets and not wild animals. Nice to see them comfortable with strangers.
We loved our stay for 2 weeks last October/November. We re-booked for this year as soon as we were able. The Cabin is just Adorable and the Dogs absolutely loved the enclosed yard to run around in. Everything you need is there and they truly thought of everything. Bonus, 2 deer visited the yard every morning and at dusk, we even had a flock of Turkeys stroll down the road! Our new "go to" vacation spot.
This cabin was so much fun and relaxing. It really does have everything you need except for food and your clothes. We saw deer every day. Our 4 dogs loved seeing the wildlife. The Sliding Rocks company was so easy to work with very attentive to our needs. Loved this cabin!
Great getaway just a couple hours from Atlanta. Love how dog friendly the cabin was, from small touches like food and water bowls to multiple fenced in areas to keep them safe.
The cabin was exactly as described and perfect for our stay with our two dogs. Easy to find, lovely and cosy with enough facilities nearby. Nice to find a truly dog friendly cabin.
Cozy Bear cabin was really easy to get in and out of. All 3 of us enjoyed the multiple people daily visits from the deer population, they would walk up and look at us like they wanted to know about us. The cabin was very clean and inviting. It felt like a home without the expense of ownership. We enjoyed it so much that before we left we had already booked our next stay in September. Both dogs absolutely loved the location as well since it was nearly at the end of the road, there were only a couple vehicles that passed by the whole time. We definitely will be returning more than just the next scheduled visit.
This cabin was on a beautiful stretch of the Ellijay river. We loved just relaxing on the porch, listening to the sounds of the river and abundant wildlife. The cabin had very easy access to the river making it a breeze for our puppy to romp around in the water. The fenced in yard off the side porch was great for puppy playtime, too! The cabin was clean and comfortable for my family with a beautiful fire pit area. We got to see deer every single day during our stay as they visited the side yard for their breakfast and dinner. This is our second stay with Sliding Rock Cabins, and we loved it just as much as the first time!
Very satisfied with our stay, house was clean and comfortable. The area was very peaceful with lots of deer.
The place was set up quite well and the outdoor patio and hot tub are great. The living area is tight but was fine for our two people and dog. Nice touches for the dog and the coffee beans. Was able to program into map apps and drive to the cabin, but their directions and warnings were helpful. Plenty of fun towns and hiking in the area. Nice stretch of river, but no fish.
Song of the South was so much more than we expected! It had been on our list for some time and we're soooo glad we finally picked it! Inside and out, this cabin was all we wanted and more! We were hoping to see the beauties of nature and the cabin did not disappoint. The creel was teaming with crawdads. In the mornings and evenings, deer would cross on a path directly across the creek from the upper floor. Also in the evenings, a massive blue heron would stop by to do a little fishing. Speaking of fishing, some decent size trout would come to feed around 7:00pm or so. I was unsuccessful at catching any but it was fun trying. Birds were everywhere, bunnies played in the driveway, and even a friendly black snake came by for a visit. Staying at the cabin was like being in a nature documentary. If nature is your thing, you will LOVE it! It's definitely on our list for a return visit!
Great location, very peaceful, right on the river which is great, beautiful river with perfect shoals.
We'll be back!
If you're looking for a great getaway look no more, its relaxing and beauty is lovely. So peaceful and quiet just what we were looking for. Great trip!!!
My husband and I had a wonderful time. This cabin sits right on the Ellijay River. It is easy access to the river. The cabin was perfect. We already are discussing coming back nect year. We love Sliding Rock Cabins.
Best Cabin we have ever rented!!
It was a beautiful stay in the cabin. Very peaceful and plenty of deer to see entering the community.
We have stayed in this cabin 4 times. Love the quiet location, easy drive (down paved roads) to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Also to Mercier Orchards and R&A Orchards. 2 of our favorites. Cabin is pretty and also so clean. Great porch to sit and watch and listen to nature. Enjoyed just walking around the "neighborhood".
Loved the location and well appointed cabin. Everything we needed was included and we appreciated the written instructions and labeling on light switches, etc. One minor suggestion would be to update the coffee pot.
Very relaxing. The cabin was super clean and well maintained. All the little extras, like water/food bowls, treats, blankets and beds were a great touch.
This was one of our best cabin trips yet! This cabin is about 25 minutes from town, and that’s exactly what we needed this weekend! We were lucky to see a momma bear & 2 cubs on the property, watched from the back deck while the babies climbed a tree! We found a few really unique places near the cabin - a winery w/ amazing views, a mushroom house & a sheep farm! The cabin has everything you need to bring your pup, including a big basket of toys. We will definitely stay at this cabin again.
Beautiful, immaculate cabin along a babbling stream. Very well-appointed including fluffy designer robes for the secluded hot tub. Had one day of anticipated rain which sounded wonderful on the roof. Did wish the fireplace was still active in May as the rain made it a bit 'raw' inside. HIGHLY recommend this cabin, perhaps our favorite of all time. Be prepared, you have a bit of a drive to reach it. Can't wait to return!
This was our second stay at Creekside Manner and it was just as wonderful as the first. The cabin is isolated enough to be private, but easily accessible. The cabin is super well equipped and extremely comfortable. The running creek is calming to the spirit. Highly recommended for a couple or up to 4 people...and our dog loves it there!!
We loved Water’s Edge. It is a very well kept rental with all the necessities and a heck of a view.
Wonderfull long weekend. Everything was perfect. We will 100% be back.
We had a wonderful stay at the Chicken Coop cabin and would absolutely come back. The screened porch was one of our favorite features—such a relaxing place to enjoy the mountain air without worrying about bugs. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, giving them plenty of room to roam safely, which made the trip so much easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
Inside, the cabin was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was especially well stocked, making it easy to cook meals and feel right at home. And the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Overall, a cozy, thoughtfully equipped cabin that made for a fantastic getaway.
This was our second stay here. We love this little cabin. It's a great place to get away. Has everything you would need for a weekend stay. They are continuing to update the cabin with new furnishings (new couch and chairs, etc.), which is great! The only issue still is the grill outside needs to be replaced.
Our stay was great, really enjoyed the cabin with the Hot tub & fire pit outdoor area. I have used Sliding Rock for 20 years & each time has been wonderful.. Thanks.
This was our 4th stay at RHR and we absolutely love it and plan to return again. The location is great! The staff at Sliding Rock are womderful and always helpful.
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The dogs loved the yard and all of the new smells! Comfy beds, plenty of room to spread out, We don't usually return after our first stay but this one is a winner!
We had a great stay with my 3 grown kids & 3 granddogs! Plenty of room, loved the pool table & games. Water was great - easy access, loved being at the end of the road! They are clearing 2 lots across the river while we were there, so won’t be quite as private, but shouldn’t make much difference on our side. Roads a little rough to get there, but if you go slow & watch for oncoming vehicles. Don’t need 4 wheel drive though. We will be back next year!
Very Satisfying
My mom & enjoyed our time at Canopy Cottage.
I'll start with the Pro's 🙂
Cabin is easily accessed, no scary mountain roads. Cabin has a circular driveway, great for getting in an out. There is also a covered parking area.
Cabin is beautiful, just as it is pictured. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need for your stay; including crock pot and blender! They have a standard coffee maker as well as a Keurig. Sink took some getting used to, it is a touch start. The grills worked great! Although we didn't find the grill utensils until our last day of the trip- for anyone who reads this, they are located in a black case in a drawer of the coffee bar. Each room has it's own ensuite, so every room is a master. Beds were incredibly comfortable! 10/10
Showers were great, bathrooms were spacious. Every room has a TV with streaming capabilities. Hot tub was very clean and worked well! Outside deck is great for visiting and relaxing.
CONS: & this will be a niche con bc we have dachshunds. 2 of which are seniors & one has had back issues & has lost partial mobility of her back legs. There are stairs you have to go up or down to get to the yard and to the front door. The fenced in yard was not great for our dogs bc you have to go down some steps to get to it & then many more to get to the actual yard itself. I would not recommend this cabin if you have dachshunds or any dogs that struggle with stairs.
Also, the neighboring cabin is very close. you look down on it from the driveway & kitchen & part of the deck. We were lucky in that that cabin was vacant for our whole trip. But had a family been staying there it would be far less private.
All in all we had a great time and enjoyed this cabin.
Beautiful property perfect for a Spring getaway.
I my dogs and I enjoyed peaceful mornings with a view over looking nature. The cabin was prepared and stocked with everything I needed. This was my second time visiting this cabin and I will continue to return when time allows. Great Job, Sliding Rock!
Had a wonderful time at Nativa! Wow, what a view. Thank you! We will definitely book again.
Fantastic cabin and setting. Everything was as-advertised and better.
This has got to be the best cabin I have ever stayed at. Super clean, great location, great rental company. I sat outside read and watched deer all day everyday. It was amazing. I go to the mountains 2 to 3 times every fall/winter and look for safe and well taken care of properties. I have never stayed in the same cabin twice, simply because they never impress me to that point of returning. This one will be my go to from now own. No doubt. Thank you for providing a place where you can relax and recharge all in peace. Looking forward to returning.
This one will be my go to from here on out.
I take 2 to 3 trips by myself during the fall and winter months. This cabin was the best one I have stayed at. Very clean, great location, privacy, my favorite by far. The rental staff was always available if I had questions. I have to say this will be the one I hope is always available when I get to go for my trips. I watched deer everyday all day. It was my favorite in all my years of coming to the mountains. I am looking forward to coming back in the fall.
Overall, this was a great cabin. It is beautiful and so peaceful. Deer are everywhere and they will let you feed them corn from just 1-2 feet away. Everything was clean, the hot tub, sauna, everything, which isn’t always the case at others we have stayed. This cabin had everything for the dogs and they had the best time! We were able to access the river like we thought we would be able to, the embankment is too high to fish or swim directly behind the cabin. Also, there was a burn ban our entire stay, so were unable to use the fire pit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Holly Hollow! From the tranquil surroundings to experiencing the culinary scene in Ellijay and Blue Ridge, the week was a joy. We also took in the charming city of Talking Rock and explored our former vacation home in Blue Ridge (which has change A LOT in 20 years).
I'll admit, when we were driving up, I was very hesitant. It was definitely more rustic and out of the way than I expected, but being right on the river was a saving grace. The house had everything we needed and we definitely utilized the hot tub and fire pit/place every night. I wish we'd brought our dog, he would have loved it! It's kind of remote so we would eat out for lunch and try to cook or eat leftovers for dinner since there's nothing close to the cabin and we didn't want to drive down the roads in the dark.
From the balcony, the views of the expansive creek can only be described as incredible. Walking down the well crafted path toward the creek, on your way to an expansive fire pit, your eyes bring you views that are hard to describe. Sitting around the fire pit, at waters edge, the sound of the rushing water is mesmerizing. Tired of the rat race, want an escape, this is the place.
A beautiful quiet setting and very accommodating for our dogs. Will stay again.
We really enjoyed this cabin and so did our furry family. The cabin is well appointed, easy to get to and has wonderful views. We enjoyed that you could enjoy the views from both the family room and bedroom on the main level. We didn't get to enjoy the game room because we were so busy soaking in the views.
We really liked having a fenced area for our dogs and they were able to roam around and check out their own special play area.
Lastly, the Sliding Rock staff was excellent to work with. We will definitely be back!
I wanted a Birthday getaway and River’s Reach was perfect for the getaway that I needed.
I was able to stay there with my three dogs and enjoy the beautiful sound of the River.
My dogs enjoyed getting in the water! It rained and the sound of the rain and river gave me an inner peace that I needed and wanted. The cabin is better in person.
We will book in the upcoming future. Thank you!
As usual we had an amazing time at Lochloosa. It was clean and comfortable. It has all you need and then some. Love our stay every time.
4 adults and 2 big dogs. Plenty of space to stretch out and the trails were great to hike. Not far from anything. House was very nice and comfortable for us all. Rental company very responsive to requests. Folks in the community were very nice.
We had a wonderful week unplugged . The location is great being on the side of the mountain was just wonderful. The river flowing was beautiful. The cabin was very charming and the location was great. We were an hour from everything we could ever imagine. We will definitely be rebooking !!! So many cabins to choose from. We can’t wait !!
We had a great time at Creekside Manor for our anniversary getaway! The cabin is beautiful and well kept, full of everything needed for a relaxing stay in the mountains. The view of the creek and outdoor amenities were second to none! We will certainly be back!
Autumn’s Hollow Cabin in Ellijay, Georgia is a peaceful retreat tucked along a quiet, winding country road, with a soothing creek flowing just below the deck. The cabin itself is spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its location strikes the perfect balance—just minutes from both downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Ellijay offers a smaller, cozier charm compared to the busier feel of Blue Ridge, and the welcoming, friendly locals make it even better. Best of all, the serenity is uninterrupted, with no constant emergency sirens—just the sound of nature and the calm of the creek. A truly relaxing getaway.
Cabin snob here—and I don’t say this lightly—this place is a gem.
This mountain cabin sits right on the river, and the setting alone is worth the trip. The property is incredibly well kept, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. Inside, the layout is just right: three comfortable bedrooms, two baths, and a bright, open kitchen, dining, and living area anchored by a beautiful gas log fireplace that makes the space feel cozy and inviting.
One of my favorite features is the screened porch overlooking the river—peaceful, private, and perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening. Outside, the riverfront setup is just as impressive. The firepit is literally right by the water, surrounded by a solid concrete and rock patio with chairs that make it easy to relax and enjoy the view. The hot tub is also perfectly placed for both convenience and scenery.
Everything in the cabin worked exactly as it should, which is always a huge plus. We brought our three girls—Bella, Nala, and Molly (2 labs, 1 Golden) and they absolutely loved exploring the property.
The drive in is a bit long and winding, but honestly, that’s part of what makes this place so special—and it is 100% worth it.
My husband and I travel often, and very few properties truly stand out to me the way this one did. We will absolutely be back.
