Stayed at the cabin for a week, wish it could have been longer. It was such a relaxing and QUIET stay. Sitting outside on the porch just listening to nature. Very calming.
The lighting bugs at night were a pleasant bonus. Had deer come through the woods on several occasions.
The cabin is very cozy and the furniture was comfortable.
The cabin was very secluded but a short "scenic" drive to Ellijay. It's location was close to many activities (tubing, hiking, wineries waterfalls etc...) in the area.
The stay was absolutely perfect and would defiantly come back.

A great getaway in this comfy cabin which had everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed evening s'mores out by the fire pit and the kids loved the fireflies (which we do not get to see in FL) . We even adopted a puppy during our stay and the cabin supplies dog bed, bowls, treats ...what did we name our new family addition? Of course, Georgia! We will be back.

The reason for 3 stars is b/c the only reason we picked this spot was for the swimming pool. The day we got there and was ready to go to the pool it is closed for good from the sign. We never was told this before our trip and everyone was very disappointed. Everything about the cabin was beautiful and great for our dogs. We just really looked forward to swimming and that was a real disappointment!!

We needed a place to destress, and the views here definitely provided that!! The cabin also has a cozy relaxing feel! Great stay!

Our 3rd time renting a cabin thru Sliding Rock, actually our second time this year so far. Always so quiet and secluded! We love the fact we can bring our dogs with us, and all of the special details they put into your fur babies. They always are so helpful with any questions or concerns! We’ll be back soon, because our only complaint is it’s time to go home!

Beautiful home with great river views! Especially enjoyed the screened porch. Perfect home for a family getaway.

Nice location and a great large fenced area for the dogs. We were able to sit out in the gazebo with the dogs. Enjoyable in spite of the frequent afternoon rains. More instructions on how to navigate the TV would be helpful. Office was very responsive for any needs that arose.

We choose Sliding Rock Cabins because they are dog friendly and it did not disappoint. The cabin was well appointed with all the little things that make staying with a dog easy. Clean and comfy. Once beyond the resort gate, the roads are narrow, paved until the very last few tenths of a mile. It was windy yet easy to get to from the directions provided, but we were not comfortable driving in the dark. We cooked at the cabin and had everything we need.

The cabin is located on a cobble road with a handful of other rentals from the Sliding Rock company. The drive up to the cabin we all considered a ‘nightmare’ as the road is narrow, windy and definitely not smooth. We changed all our plans from the get go so we only needed to leave in the morning and once we got back to the cabin, we stayed there. The pros are that you may come across several deer and bunnies on the drive to and from the cabin. Don’t expect to play in the creek behind, it’s too steep and slippery to get down. There is a quaint little fenced off area for dogs but we didn’t use it and instead chose to walk the dogs up and down the cobble road. There are bears in the area, so make sure your dogs are leashed and let out during daylight hours!! The cabin itself was wonderful. They provided enough for the first few days. There are plenty of board games in the cupboard too, luckily the weather was great during our stay so we didn’t have any days indoors that left us time to play them. The hot tub was appreciated on the days we took arduous hikes. The water pressure and heat in the bathrooms were fantastic. We did see an army of sugar ants on the kitchen counter but I think that’s pretty standard for all cabins in the woods ?!?! The rest of the cabin was clean and comfortable and we had a wonderful vacation.

Overall a great experience! Only thing would I would suggest is there was a moldy like smell and maybe eliminating the carpet. It was a great location and had wonderful amenities. We really enjoyed did our pup!
