Just us

It was very beautiful. Both my husband and I never stayed in a cabin before and it was everything we wanted.

13 Crows

This was our eighth stay with Sliding Rock & our eighth cabin. 13 Crows was, for us, the best cabin property thus far & that's saying something as we loved all of our other cabins and stays. For a 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin, there's plenty of room as the cabin design and accommodations have a non-cramped and comfortable flow. Secluded, very well maintained and with the short trail down to Amy creek, this is a hard to beat escape. We had a lot of rain for the first part of our stay, but this cabin is set up to enjoy, regardless of the weather. With having our five rescue dogs with us, there's little to no traffic so walking the dogs is easy and plenty for them to explore. We met our housekeeper's husband and two of the permanent doggie residents just up the road, Niko & Bubba, sweet gentle kids that we are glad to have met. We love the Ellijay area and people, and this stay, this cabin and Sliding Rock still continue to rule the day for us when getting away.

Dec 2018 Review

The cabin stay was excellent with the exception of the hot tub not functioning properly...the circuit breaker kept turning off so the water could not heat up. Other than this the appearance and amenities were excellent. The cabin was nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our stay.

Wonderful Quiet Getaway

My husband and I rented this cabin for a quick getaway before he deploys. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at 13 Crows; not only was it beautifully and comfortably decorated, but it was truly QUIET and peaceful. Our rescue dog Ophelia also very much enjoyed the fireplace and romping around the creek below the house.

Lovely! Enjoyed the stay so much! Wish I could have stayed longer and it would have been nice had it not rained all day one of the days, but that was actually relaxing, too. Very clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was easy to adapt to. Beautiful cabin and just the right size for a couple and their pet(s). My German Shepherd was a happy camper, too. She met the Rotti from up the road!

Relaxing Vacation!

The cabin was a great vacation for my husband and I and our two dogs. It’s very quiet and cozy up on the mountain. We enjoyed the little hike down to the creek, the reading nook, and warming up by the fire. The cabin is a little difficult to get to, the road is a little rough, and it’s quite a bit of climbing. The only thing we didn’t like is the small size of the dog enclosure and the lack of flood lights in that area. Overall, a wonderful vacation.

13 CROWS

ROADS WERE A BIT SCARY WITH A 2 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE. FELT LIKE I WAS DOING DAMAGE TO MY CAR'S SHOCKS, VERY BUMPY, WOULD RETURN WITH A TRUCK OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE NEXT TIME.

THE CABIN ITSELF WAS WONDERFUL, LOCATION ALONG THE CREEK WAS AMAZING.

Great hideaway!

There were many things we enjoyed: The peace and quiet stand out the most. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. It was located down a rugged narrow private road which is one of the things that gave us the peace and quiet. Our daily breakfast on the balcony was one of our favorite experiences of the entire stay, with Amy Creek flowing in the background. It was also the first vacation we were able to take our little dog with us. The area has cool shops, a great church, and lots of friendly people. We took a couple of short hikes to some beautiful falls in the area. Best of all was to come home to our cabin for peace and quiet after exploring. I would recommend Sliding Rock Cabin for a great mountain vacation!

Unique !!

We loved it. Wish there would have been more sun for us, but we enjoyed the pristine and pretty of the backwoods nonetheless.
