The pet friendliest cabin company in the whole universe

About Us

We are Jerri Nowlen and Terry Harbin, the owners of Sliding Rock Cabins. We started our cabin rental company here in the North Georgia Mountains in 2001. As pet lovers and rescue supporters we love our pets and focus on pet friendly cabin rentals. It’s our goal for your cabin getaway to far exceed your expectations of relaxation and enjoyment of our forests and mountains. Sliding Rock cabins strives to be the best cabin company in the area, not the biggest. Our strategy is to retain less than 50 quality cabins so that your cabin does not get lost in a list of hundreds to choose from. When you call, you’ll find our Reservationists excel at listening to your needs and requirements to guide you in choosing a cabin. They have personally visited every cabin on our program. Our Housekeepers work behind the scenes to anticipate and prepare your cabin and all the details prior to your arrival. The Emergency and Maintenance Staff stays in stand-by mode ready to move as emergency needs arise. It’s a great team that believes in treating every guest with friendliness, professionalism and respect.

Curious about where our cabins are located?

We are about 90 miles north of Atlanta or about 65 miles southeast of Chattanooga, TN with cabins located between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, GA in the North Georgia Mountains. Highlighted on the map are the areas where we have cabins available for your next getaway. We believe it important to protect the privacy of our guests, so we do not publish more specific maps or directions to cabins until booked.

After booking, you’ll receive a password to access directions to your specific cabin.

If curiosity should drive you to try to find any of our cabins through an online map service or GPS, you will probably be quite disappointed. Our gravel and dirt roads are privately owned, or county maintained and are not in any map service database. So, print those directions and hold on to them!
