We had the best time during our stay at Trout Haven Lodge.(We shed a few tears during checkout) It was truly a little slice of heaven. We didn't leave the cabin for 3 days straight! The property was immaculately clean, and had all the amenities. We spent 90% of our time outside down by the water or on both porches, grilling out and watching football. Downtown Ellijay is only a few miles away and has the cutest little shops and restaurants. Most everywhere was dog friendly which is a huge bonus! This was our second time booking with Sliding Rock Cabins and we can't wait to book another one, maybe in the summer next time!! Thanks Again!
The house was very nice and clean. Roomy for 6 guests. The road to cabin is a bit treacherous but worth it. The outdoor tv and grill area was a hit with the older kids, it was a bit cold for us older folks. All in all it was a great place and the water right out of the sink is delicious. I posted pics on facebook and people are wanting the rental info.
My daughter and I went for five days to just have a mother-daughter trip in a reconnect. The cabin was wonderful, clean, accommodated her dogs, and I cannot say enough about the look and feel of the cabin and the grounds. It was the most positive experience.
What a wonderful cabin and location. We had planned to venture out a few times but once we parked our vehicle, we did not start it again until the morning that we left (1 week later) Fished, played in the creek with Bosco our dog, sat on the porch or at the fire pit and enjoyed the peaceful sound of the creek rushing by. Even though it was early September we had the doors and windows open to the screened porch and it was quite comfortable. We have stayed with Sliding Rock cabins at probably 9 different locations. Trout Haven is now our favorite and we can't wait till the next trip.
I was in desperate need of a vacation and to unplug. Trout Haven exceeded all expectations! The house is beautiful, the kitchen so well equipped. I spent hours on the screened in porch with my two golden retriever’s. The yard is great for throwing ball, the fenced in are is large and so convenient, but the was fabulous!!! There were two sets of steps to the creek and the water was perfect!! There were very calm spots for my more senior golden to play ball, but also great moving water that allowed my younger golden so fetch the ball and swim like a little fish. It was so quiet and the neighbors are far enough away, that you really don’t notice anyone is nearby.
The thought and care the owners and Sliding Rock have put onto Trout Haven was second to none! We will back during the Christmas holidays and I am counting the days already!
I have been staying at Sliding Rock properties for over 20 years and have never been disappointed!
