Favorite Cabin!

This was our second stay at Sounds of Silence, and hopefully we will be back again soon. Great location with an amazing view, clean and spacious. We have stayed at several Sliding Rock cabins and would choose them again and again.

A good trip

While the trip was good, I wouldn't stay at this cabin again. The front gate allows dogs with slim builds to walk right through. So we couldn't let the dogs out without a leash. The back porch had the same design.

Fantastic Cabin

Reviews are very important to me when deciding where to vacation. We like to rent cabins. We decided to try Sliding Rock Cabins because of their dog friendly rules. Itā€™s a beautiful neighborhood. Thereā€™s so much to do in the surrounding area.
There were five adults and three dogs. We really loved the neighborhood and cabin. The views were spectacular. We even bought lights just like the ones below.
They left dog bones in a jar and poopy bags. There was dish for water and a dog bed. No places ever done that that we have stayed at.
Tara and Ingrid were great answering all our questions. The kitchen had everything a good cook required. The washer and dryer were great. The Jacuzzi was wonderful. Every level was beautiful. Iā€™m glad the stairs inside had carpet making it easier for the dogs to go up and down.
The great thing is every level is fenced in and a bigger area at the bottom level. The middle level is screened in if there are bugs. Summer views are private but winter views you will see neighbors.
We will definitely be coming back to this cabin. I highly recommend it you wonā€™t be disappointed.

Enjoyable cabin with unreal views

We had a very pleasant experience staying at Sounds of Silence with our pups. We loved how pet friendly the cabin is with the gravel side yard and various gates cordoning off certain parts of the decK.
The main living room areaā€™s high ceilings and access to the screened porch was perfect for us. I loved being able to step outside to take in the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and enjoy the outdoor space. And the screened balcony was, hands down, my favorite part.
The only thing I did want to point out is that the kitchen is a bit outdated with appliances but stocked with the necessary (basic) cooking requirements with the exception of spices.

Great stay!

Plants of room for 5 adults and 3 dogs. The view was wonderful and the place is easy to get to. We canā€™t wait to stay there again.
