Welcome to IttaBena Lodge, which means “home in the woods” where family and friends meet in Choctaw Indian language. A luxury water fronting cabin full of rustic charm and character. Situated right on the waters of Mountaintown Creek, one of North Georgia’s premier trout streams. This cabin offers everything you need for a relaxing and fun filled vacation: do as little or as much as you like!

The cabin offers 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, living room with wood burning fireplace & TV, fully stocked kitchen that is open to the dining room area and living room. Walk out onto the covered porch to have a beautiful meal or just rock away your day. Or spend some time on the screen porch to read or just listen to the river rushing by.
The spacious GAME ROOM in the basement offers ping pong, foosball and a separate living area with a gas fireplace & TV.
Take a stroll outside onto the patio level and find a picnic table, hot tub and a path that leads to the stone firepit area and water.
What a wonderful area to fish, tube or relax in the hammock. This is definitely a cabin you will not want to leave.
Since we are on a protected trout stream, while fishing on our property the house rules for fishing are: Fly fishing, catch and release, barbless hooks and no live bait. To provide additional security to you and our property we have installed an outdoor camera that is directed towards the woodpile by the firepit. Dog Friendly, with a maximum of 2 Dogs. No cats please.

Access:
Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.
FISHING REGULATIONS: Mountaintown Creek is catch-and-release, barbless hook, artificial lure fishing only. One pole and line, hand-held only. Seining bait fish is not allowed. The cabin was as pictured, the river behind cabin is closer than appears in pictures which was fabulous because it was amazing. We went to all the falls and hot spots, now we are ready to just stay in the cabin and enjoy the river! The drive in movie was great, all of the falls were stunning, shopping was nice, Cheteau Meichtry winery ground and service was amazing! I also recommend Grace restaurant for really nice dining. Only complaint is I can’t get back there fast enough! xoxo
This property was exactly as advertised and very well appointed, down to the dog treats! We had a lovely weekend and weren't even inconvenienced by a power outage, thanks to the generator on property.
Peaceful,relaxing,adventurous. There is so much to do in the area. Shopping, eating and hiking opportunities.
ecently rented both cabins for a long weekend family get-together.
The convenience was fantastic. We stayed outside by the stream or on the screened porches 90% of our time. Fish were slow to bite, but those that did fish really enjoyed the water. Both cabins were clean. We ran short of toilet tissue in both cabins, so I would take extra next time. We will definitely be back to enjoy the serenity.
This cabin was perfect for our whole family including our fur kids. We were thrilled at how clean the cabin was, the access to the water, firepit area is amazing we had a blast making s'mores and memories. The kids and adults enjoyed the game room. The cabins had everything we could have asked for. This is going to be our go to cabin for future visits to Ellijay.
