Nowadays with things like iPads and video game systems, kids don’t get outside and do as much as they used to. With that in mind, you should consider bringing your kids to Sliding Rock Cabins to escape their virtual reality and get a taste of what real life is like. Here are a few experiences to give your children in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
- Go swimming—With a quiet river so nearby, you can take your children for a swim in all natural water. Just make sure you supervise them well and only enter parts of the river deemed safe.
- Toast marshmallows—There’s nothing like sitting around a camp fire with long sticks and a flaming marshmallow at the end. Your kids will never forget their smoky flavor…or the stories they heard and told as they toasted them.
- Go on nature walks—There is so much room to explore in our mountains! Take your children on nature walks and see what sort of wildlife you can find.
- Paint their own pottery—We’re situated close to Ellijay which has tons of family activities. One of which allows your children to pick out a piece of pottery, paint it, and take it home. Let their artistic side shine.
- Miniature golf—Who doesn’t like to play putt-putt golf? See if you can beat your kids!
Bring your family to Sliding Rock Cabins for a fun kid-friendly getaway!
