Sweet little cabin

This is a great cabin for a couple. My mom joined us last minute, and having only 1 bathroom was a small challenge. But not a big deal. Ordinarily we would choose a cabin with 2 bathrooms when others are joining us. The cabin itself is very cute and very secluded. The fire pit area is beautiful with the string lights. The master bed was very soft, which I love, but may be worth noting for those who like a firm bed. Very clean, everything in proper working order. Some neighbors walked up the road a few times with their dogs during our stay. There are no leash laws in the county, so be aware that you may have dogs visiting. They were very friendly pups though! Two suggestions: the cabin could use more lamps/lighting in the living area. Maybe a floor lamp?...And the cabin is tucked quite a ways off the main road. The road conditions didn't bother us much, but it may be helpful to others to note that it's a bit of a primitive dirt road and may not be best for those who like a quick trip into town. We had no problems in my SUV, but a car with low clearance may need to be more cautious. But we would absolutely rent the same cabin again if my husband and I were looking for a quiet hideaway!

We stayed a couple of nights and it was good. We were looking for something isolated so it was good on that front. But there aren't really any trails to walk. We made our way through the woods below the house and found a little creek our son liked to walk in.

Our most exciting moment was sitting around the fire pit at dusk (with no fire; it was too hot) and hearing some branches snap. We looked over and saw a baby bear in a tree. We figured there was a mama bear nearby and ran back to the cabin and inside.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, mama bear comes right through where we were sitting followed by three cubs. We watched them and decided it was movie night.

In any case, it was a small good cabin and relaxing because we really wanted to spend a weekend doing nothing. And we did a lot of it.

The mountains at their best!

We really loved Treeborn Lodge. It had everything we could possible want. The firepit was awesome. We used it every night.
Our dog loved hiking the path to the creek every morning and evening
We enjoyed seeing all the daffodils, dogwood trees and azaleas in bloom. We will be back as soon as we can! 5 stars!!!
